About Planning 101

Planning 101: Talking smart growth for 101 communities in Greater Boston is a space for the staff of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) to share their wealth of knowledge on topics related to smart growth and regional collaboration.

Our goal is to be relevant and engaging; to talk about our work and issues of importance to Greater Boston, minus the wonky jargon.

Planning 101 covers a diverse range of issues that include transportation, clean energy, land use, environment, public health, and local government. Our staff also blog about issues related to equity and innovative usage of public data. On occasion, we will feature guest bloggers from related organizations who want to share their point of view.

The writers of this blog are not representing the views or opinions of MAPC as an agency (full disclaimer). Rather, they are sharing their expertise as individuals who care about important issues in our region.

We encourage you to comment on our blog posts and join in the conversation! However, we do reserve the right to delete any comments that are offensive or inappropriate.

If you have any questions about Planning 101 or MAPC, please contact communications@MAPC.org.
